Search engine redirection infection

I'm having a problem with my laptop. Anytime I use google or yahoo search it redirects to another site not related to what I'm searching for. Also there's a pop up script error box and random music/commercials playing in the background. I've downloaded Malwarebytes, hitman pro and superantinspyware at the advice from someone else on these computer help forums. They all scanned, located and deleted various malacious programs but I'm still having issues with the search engine redirect, the script error box and random music playing. Everyday when the scans run they find tracking cookies but no viruses/malware/spyware. If anyone can help with this problem it will be greatly appreciated.

I hope you made those and if not, it appears you can order them.

If you didn't make them, many on the forum want to know why.

Either way, in some cases, if you can't remove the problem using the tools mentioned in 'your previousl posts, (try them in both "normal" Windows and Safe mode), there are some which must perform a reformat and reinstall the operating system, plus all programs and drivers. If the infection has spread broad enough through the system, occasionally, it can't be removed using normal means. As long as you have the recovery discs, plus you've made backups of your files, you'll be able to accomplish such.

For those who haven't tried all the removal tools mentioned in the responses to link above, please do so.. It takes care of the problem for most.

Hope this helps.

That's true of most laptops. You have to create them or HOPE the disk to disk restore works. As I can't find the make and model, I can't tell you if there is a document on how to create those restore disks.

The link below looks like you should be able to use the Recovery Partition method to format and reinstall everything back to factory specs. Have you checked?
