Lenovo idea pad s10-3 trackpad problem

Hello all,

I have about 5 netbooks with this problem (I work in a school). The trackpad has lost its connection with the main body. The small cable that attaches the trackpad to the belly of the machine has become unattached at the trackpad end and needs to be reattached. Any ideas?

You can't just plug them back in ? Odd how something inside can become unattached...
Got a picture ? Kinda hard to imagine what's there since I don have 1.

If you can't attach the trackpad for whatever reason, I see no other option other than a separate mouse, OR....get the trackpad connection fixed.

For us to a view a picture on this site, you'll need to post the picture to a image hosting/storage site such as the one at the link below. Once that's done, you can provide a link to the stored picture.

Hope this helps.

I need to reattach the cable (shown in white on the right of the trackpad tray) to the housing pictured on the bottom of the trackpad. Not having fingures like a dwarf munchkin isn't helping

Either get a USB mouse to perform the function with or attach the touchpad.. Or....have a tech at a local shop do it for you.

Hope this helps.

-> Reattach this!

I wonder if you are in deep waters here. That is, how many years have you been repairing laptops?
