cd/dvdw ts-l632d burning problems

can someone help me please,i have just bought the TS-L632D burner,but i cant get it to burn dvds or cds.It does not accept any blank discs,yet the cd-rw discs i use burns perfectly in the c-drive. It keeps saying insert blank disc,What blank dvds do i need for this? thanks
